Wow, what a long email! It goes on for pages and pages!

Now Timmy wants to answer this mail. He simply adds one sentence and then sends it. It now looks like this:

Timmy is on a discussion forum. Someone else reads the mail and adds an answer himself. Now the mail looks like this:

It is still the same huge size, for one sentence of new information, respectively!

Lilly snips unnecessary information from the mail when she responds. That doesn't mean to delete everything - people want to know what she refers to, after all - just what isn't useful to understand the context anymore.

Look how small and readable the answer is now! It is quicker to read - you can grasp the central points in one second - and it is nicer to cluttered mailboxes and slow connections.
